Craftsmanship

  • Hand-Thrown & High-Temperature Bisque Firing: Jingdezhen kaolin clay is hand-thrown into the waisted coffee cup form, meticulously trimmed to the 6.5~7cm rim, 10.5cm height, and 7cm width. The raw clay undergoes 1280℃ high-temperature bisque firing to form a dense, jade-like white porcelain base with a smooth, luminous finish
  • High-Temperature Glaze Firing: After bisque firing, a transparent glaze is applied to the entire outer surface, followed by a second high-temperature firing at 1300℃ to create a durable, glossy glaze layer
  • Famille Rose Hand-Painting & Gradient Shading: Master artisans use hair-thin brushes to hand-paint thousand flowers, buds, and foliage motifs. The color separation & layered dyeing technique is applied, with 3–5 layers of subtle shading to render lifelike petal veins and leaf texture
  • 4-Step Firing Process: After painting, the cup undergoes 2 separate low-temperature firings at 780℃~820℃ to set the famille rose pigments. This is followed by hand-applied 24K pure gold gilding on the rim, then a third low-temperature firing at 600℃~700℃ to secure the gilding. A final quality-control firing ensures all layers are locked permanently, resulting in fade-resistant, scratch-resistant color and luster
  • Low Yield Rate: The ultra-fine hand-painting and multi-temperature firing demand extreme precision, resulting in a final yield rate of only 25%~30%—each piece is a rare, handcrafted collectible
